# 2 system administrators, one creates a team

Hi there.

We have two system administrators in Mattermost. If one creates a new team, the other is not a member and cannot become a member of his own accord. In the system console he can only remove himself from teams. Is that intentional?

Hi Thomas,

In order to be added to a team via the frontend UI users need to be invited. This is intentional, but you can allow people from other teams to join a team provided they have an account by going to the Team Settings under the Mattermost main menu.

If they have access to the server that Mattermost is running on they can use [this command](https://docs.mattermost.com/administration/command-line-tools.html#platform-team-add) to add themselves to the channel.
