I select “iOS / Android application” in the item “Enable mobile push notification” on the system console. At this time “http://push-test.mattermost.com” is displayed in the “push notification server” item in a state that can not be edited.

When my Mattermost site is HTTPS connected, does Mattermost encrypt it to access http://push-test.mattermost.com? Is it the same when using on a PC?

I have read it already. Where is it written whether it is encrypted or not encrypted?

Is it unencrypted between my server and push-test.mattermost.com? Has the mobile application used push-test.mattermost.com before then?

I checked with our team about this and here is their feedback:

  1. Mobile apps from Apple App Store/GooglePlay need to use one of our push notification services
  2. TPNS (test push notification service) was meant to be for testing apps
  3. However, we are switching it to be encrypted - ticket here: https://mattermost.atlassian.net/browse/MM-11909.

Based on the details you have provided you are likely choosing “TPNS” as the option, so the URL gets locked to the TPNS url.
