# Add members of the same team to one or more channels by default

I see that a few years ago there was the experimental feature of default channels. But this option is no longer enabled.

I wonder if there is an option to include a specific channel as default channel for all members of a team, so that after their first login they are included in the channel.

I see that people propose the welcomebot plugin, but this does not suit me for few reasons, 1/ it is a third party plugin, not recommended by mattermost; 2/ I don’t want new users to have a questionnaire, I just want them to be added by default to the channel.

Or also, I see that the possibility of using LDAP sync groups is mentioned, but I don’t use LDAP, but keycloak.

Any other recommendations?  
Is it planned to develop the option to add channels by default?

Thanks! Do you have any recommendation for a simple plugin that allows this? I have seen [welcomebot](https://github.com/mattermost-community/mattermost-plugin-welcomebot), but it has not been updated for 7 months.
