# Installation without Docker

Hi @phsm,

You can install Mattermost without Docker using the GitLab omnibus [https://github.com/mattermost/platform#installing-mattermost](https://github.com/mattermost/platform#installing-mattermost), as well as manually installing the system while referencing settings in one of the config.json files associated with Docker setups.

We’re currently re-organizing our configuration settings based on community feedback from our Alpha release, and once that is done (in a week or two) we’ll be working on full deployment documentation.
