# Mattermost nginx proxy websockets

Hi All,

I have a question. I installed mattermost. In front of mattermost i have a nginx reverse proxy (https). When i am elsewhere everything works fine.

Websockets are working. However when i am on my company site it fails and tells me:

" Please check connection, Mattermost unreachable. If issue persists, ask administrator to [check WebSocket port](https://about.mattermost.com/default-websocket-port-help)."

However when i am brosing to the demo site of mattermost websockets are working fine. What could be the problem here? Am i missing something?

I allways believed that when its encrypted the proxy server could not block this?
