# Registering Sidebar Component

I am having trouble getting a new sidebar component to show up. I have a channel header button that calls store.dispatch(showRHSPlugin) which I get from `const {showRHSPlugin} = registry.registerRightHandSidebarComponent(<TestComponent/>, "title here");`. Whenever I press the channel header button, the websocket is closed, and the window goes white. Any help getting it to show up is appreciated.
