# Replying to a Comment in a Thread

Hello all.

In a thread, I want to reply for a specific comment, remember you can’t have subthreads, how can this be achieved?

channel - thread  
I like cats  
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; I like red cats  
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; I like big cats \< ---- I want to reply to this specific comment  
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; I like black cats

UPDATE :

I’m suggesting a new feature to allow reply to a comment in a thread with a reference to the original comment using “Quote Reply”.

I’ve created a feature request. Please vote:
