# Update mattermost v5.21 to v5.28 license problem

After updating the mattermost, the license switched to the Enterprise Edition and after the expiration, will it work and will the data be lost?

I currently have 300 users

how can I downgrade the license key to the Team Edition

Hi, @INovanda

You can just click on the button in the **System Console \> Edition & License** to downgrade the server to Team Edition:
