Changing of mattermost code

Hi! Please help with question: can we change code of mattermost with plugins? or we can only add something with plugins?

Plugins add functionality, not alter core functionality. We’d need to know more about what you intend by “changing code”. You’re free to clone our repo and change to your heart’s content!

By “changing the code”, I am actually interested in the question of whether it is possible to remove the page where the “login via gitlab” button is drawn. On this page, we do not enter data, but just click on the button…)

I am close to 100% certain you’d need to modify source code and compile the binary yourself.

Mattermost would be a good place to ask for more info.
