Can I enable Push for iOS and disable E-Mail at the same time?

I have tested the iOS application for a while now and due to my e-mail settings I tend to get notifications for every activity twice:

  • my e-mail client pops up notifying me with the Mattermost mail
  • Mattermost clients pops up notifying me with message

However, if I turn off E-Mail notifications in the Mattermost web app, you’re not sending push notifications anymore. Shouldn’t this really be a separate toggle? Or is this not intended behavior and a bug?

You’re correct, right now the per-user settings for email and push notifications are tied together. There is a ticket here to fix the issue by adding an Account Setting option to set when to send push notifications: https://mattermost.atlassian.net/browse/PLT-1577
