There are a ton of teams that I could care less what is being discussed – however, I stay in the channel incase they release an important update through @channel or @here. Browser notifications through Chrome is great, however, I’ve stop looking at them because 95% of them are meaningless to me.
An option to only get push notifications from mentions and favorited channels would be awesome.
There should be a setting in Account Settings > Notifications to set push notifications only for mentions. However, Favourited Channels is not yet an option and is a great feature request idea.
