What’s changing?
Starting with Desktop App v6.4 (November 2026), the app will no longer strip the server subpath from paths sent by Boards. This removes a workaround that caused “Team not found” errors when a team name matched the subpath.
Why are we making this change?
The subpath-stripping workaround was a source of navigation bugs. Boards v9.4.0 fixes path handling on its end, so the Desktop App workaround is no longer needed.
Who may be affected?
Servers with a subpath configured in their Site URL running Boards below v9.4.0. Deployments without a subpath are unaffected.
What do you need to do as an administrator?
Update the Boards plugin to v9.4.0 or later before updating the Desktop App, following the Boards installation instructions. Older Boards versions may show navigation errors once the Desktop App is updated.
When does this take effect?
Desktop App v6.4, releasing November 2026.
