How to disable user ability to change their own username in Mattermost Team Edition?

I am running a self-hosted Mattermost Team Edition server. I need to disable the functionality that allows users to change their own usernames after initial creation.

Could someone please advise on the correct configuration setting or method to achieve this?

Hi @AhmadR3za! There isn’t currently a dedicated Team Edition config setting to prevent local users from changing their own usernames, but if you manage accounts through SSO/OIDC then username changes can be controlled by the external identity provider instead; the profile behavior is documented here: Manage your Mattermost profile and the SSO username authority notes are here: OpenID Connect / OAuth user attributes.
