Looking for Reliable Internal Communication Software – Feedback Wanted from Real Users

I’m currently exploring options to build or integrate internal communication software for my company. The goal is to improve team collaboration, ensure smooth information flow, and reduce our reliance on scattered tools like emails and group chats.

I came across this helpful blog that lists a bunch of internal communication tools:

The tools mentioned include Blink, Simpplr, MirrorFly, Staffbase, Workvivo, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and others. Each looks promising on paper, but I’m particularly interested in feedback from people who have actually used these platforms—the real-world pros and cons.

My Key Requirements:

  • Secure and private internal messaging
  • Support for both web and mobile platforms
  • Option to self-host or white-label is a huge plus
  • Works well for teams of 50–150 employees
  • Good customer support and integration capabilities (like SSO, APIs, etc.)

Your first and third requirements would knock Teams and Slack out. I don’t know much about the rest, but if they’re SaaS solutions, it’s doubtful you can host yourself or “re-brand”.

I can say that Mattermost meets all of those requirements!
