We’ve been running MatterMost for several years now. Today, I tested the 5.11.0 Windows client on my computer before releasing to coworkers. But once run, the initial connection window just spins and it never connects.
Re-installed Windows client 5.10.2, and it’s all back to working.
Nothing else changed between the upgrade to 5.11.0, or the downgrade back to 5.10.2.
You’ll want to upgrade to 6.3.10 (the first ESR after 6.0.0), then 7.1.9, then 7.8.15, then 8.1.13, then 9.5.13, then 9.11.8 You can find all previous versions at Version archive - Mattermost documentation
I suppose I should have tried that first. The problem with the 5.11.0 client was resolved when I upgraded the server to 10.4.2. Thanks for the response.
Thanks for your replay, we plan to upgrade to a new version, but we will also have to migrate from a preview docker container to an in-house linux installation.
The migration path you gave will anyway be usefull for the docker installation before moving to new server.
