Mattermost Bug Hunter Awards

Each month, the Mattermost server team ships a “Release Candidate” of the next official version for testing and feedback prior to the final release on the 16th of the month.

We’re starting a new program for recognizing community members who help spot issues in the release candidates during the testing period, which includes a hand-written note from one of the core committers of the Mattermost project, plus a custom “Bug Hunter” coin as special recognition for your contribution.

Here’s Corey Hulen, co-founder of the Mattermost open source project, explaining more from the 2018 Mattermost conference in Lisbon, Portugal, where Bug Hunter coins were announced.

In certain cases, when a community member finds a bug in an official release that is particularly insightful or difficult to find, bug hunter coins may be awarded as well.
