Summary
Threads show (1) red notification after all threads are read
Steps to reproduce
Set in settings->display->collapsed reply threads to ON then read all threads
Expected behavior
As is for all read channels it should show nothing (no number) next to threads and in icon panel Mattermost icon should not have a red (1) number
Observed behavior
It shows (1) next to threads and in icon panel Mattermost icon has a red (1) number

Is there a workaround like finding that deleted thread and read it so that I will get rid of constant red (1) in my dock?
None that I’m aware of at the moment unfortunately, sorry. If I find out something, I’ll let you know!
I just clicked “Read all messages” and it’s gone. So my problem is solved.

That’s an interesting find - I read in some threads, that it did not help people to get the icon cleared, but maybe your situation was a bit different. Good to know, though and glad to hear you could fix it yourself!
I’m also experiencing this bug. I’ve tried a complete re-install, removed myself from the server, and clicked on each individual thread. No results.
Where do I find this “Read all messages” to click?
The Jira is closed and as far as I see it has not been fixed.
It is very much a real issue and annoys the hell out of me.
MM: 7.10.4, Desktop Client: 5.5.1
