The town square, which allows everyone to send messages to everyone else, is not suitable: these people don’t know each other unless they are in the same channel.
How can I ensure that only administrators can post messages in the town square channel in the free version?

Let me clarify: I did see the possibility of limiting posting rights (to administrators, for example). But this applies to ALL channels. Which is not the point. I’m trying to give everyone the chance to post, but not in Town-Square.

As far as I know that’s not possible in the free edition.
In the enterprise edition, you could’ve used “announcement channels” with no posting rights for “normal users”

Clearly, It’s a marketing strategy to limit free use to very small structures. I’m going to switch to rocket, which allows me to limit posts “to everyone”.
