UI Bug: Empty Space Above Keyboard After Closing "Add File" Menu

When selecting the “Add File” option in the Mattermost app and then closing the menu without adding a file, an empty space consistently appears above the keyboard. This issue persists even after hiding the keyboard, leaving a blank area on the screen.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open the Mattermost app (version 2.24.1).
  2. Navigate to a channel or message thread.
  3. Tap on the input field to activate the keyboard.
  4. Select the “Add File” option.
  5. Close the “Add File” menu without selecting or adding a file.
  6. Hide the keyboard by pressing the back button or using the system gesture.

Observed Behavior:

  • An empty space appears above the keyboard after closing the “Add File” menu.

  • The empty space remains even after hiding the keyboard.

Expected Behavior:
The UI should return to its original state after closing the “Add File” menu, and no empty space should appear or persist.

Environment:

  • App Version: 2.24.1
  • Android Version: 15 and below

This issue is consistent and negatively affects the app’s usability by reducing the visible area of the screen.
