We are using a SAML SSO setup that is working fine for other users. However, I have one use that, when she attempts to login from her Android phone, using either the app (2.40.0 Build 6000749) or a web browser, she gets the “an account with that username already exists”. This is, of course, true (the account does already exist), but it shouldn’t be an error. So, it seems like the system thinks it should be creating a new account, but I can’t figure out why.
I have compared her record in the Users table with a user for whom things are working, and I don’t see any meaningful differences. I’m not seeing anything related to this in the Mattermost log, so I’m not sure how to proceed with debugging this.
We had this same issue with a different user a few weeks ago, but in that person’s case we were able to delete the user and start over because she didn’t have any posts yet. This current problem user is established, so we don’t want to delete the user.
