Compass Design System forces UX bloat

Expected:

  • Compass Design Systems has guidance that unused features that take up screen real estate are required to have the ability to be hidden/disabled.

For example, in Developer: Playbooks channel, we have a host of links in a compact, easy to read view, available on mouse over, and the “Add a bookmark” adds no value, it only takes up space.

  • “Add a bookmark” can be disabled/hidden by users that don’t want it, to remove UX bloat (if this capability exists, it needs to be easier to discover).
