Confusing, inconsistent UX expectations across 3rd party integrations

Expected:

  • Minimal standards for UX consistency and aesthetics for 3rd party add-ons deployed to production.

Observed:

  • End users of Enterprise SKU sharing feedback to Mattermost about UX asked to onboard into developer-centric ticket filing system of 3rd party add-ons, discouraging end user feedback from non-technical users.

If 3rd party apps become a justification for broken windows experience, it’s going to be materially more difficult to fix the issue.
