Expected:
- Emoji spacing as pre-fix to channel titles in iOS “feels” similar to web/desktop experience
Observed:
- iOS feels off, cramped. See attached images to compare.

The differences shown here are due to the emoji style differences in iOS vs windows. The iOS calendar emoji is larger than the windows calendar emoji. I’m not sure if there is much we can do about that.
Is this systematic on iOS vs. Windows emoji size?
a) I seem to notice the issue across most emojis on iOS vs. web in Mattermost
b) I don’t notice the issue in other products with emojis on both iOS and Windows,
I’m wondering if there’s some sort of conditional kerning, etc. I’m wondering what we’re doing that’s different from other products who would in theory face the same issue.
