We use Mattermost for an association, but the chat server is open to everybody. It would be great if we could somehow add “user badges” / “tags” / “public user groups” to the users that are also members of the association or of the board.
Discourse has a similar feature, where users can belong to multiple groups, and a “primary group” (for example “Member”) can be selected. The name of this primary group is then displayed next to the user name.
