Forced new login after connection loss

If the data connection at the Android client fails, this is not reported. So it can happen that you are not reachable for a long time without noticing it.
After the connection is established again, you have to log in again incl. password. This is very frustrating during a car journey.
Is it normal behavior to have to log in again?
