Future handling of update channels in regards to In-App updater deprecation

Hello,

the recent announcement of deprecating the In-App updater in favor of the Microsoft Store on Windows has me confused how update channels will work in the future.

Right now there are separate update channels for stable, rc and nightly releases - how is this going to work in the future? Some of us test non-stable builds for both compatibility with our systems and relevant documentation of new features to be ready when a release hits the larger user base.

Will there be multiple store listings for these different channels or do they require special enrollment?

I get the confusion moving to the Microsoft Store could complicate testing non-stable builds. Likely they’ll need some sort of opt-in or beta enrollment for RC/nightly versions, rather than separate listings. Hope they clarify soon for testers.
