Hello, it seems like something basic but I couldn’t find any answer to my question, so apologies if it has already been asked.
Is it possible to change how replies to one message are displayed, to have something like Slack, where only the first message is displayed with the number of replies, and you have to click on it to see the all thread ?

This is currently not available in Mattermost. We do have a feature request for this here - make threads collapsible.
It is currently being looked into, I would also highly recommend you to join the Folded Reply Thread in our Community server so you can see the communication from our dev team as well as get live updates on it from the conversations in the thread.
