I’ve set up a self-hosted Mattermost instance and I’m currently using the default push notification server: push-test.mattermost.com.
While everything works perfectly on desktop (both in browser and desktop app), I’m experiencing inconsistent push notification delivery on mobile devices (both Android and iOS). Sometimes the notifications come through, sometimes they don’t - with no clear pattern.
My questions are:
- Is there a known rate limit or delivery restriction when using push-test.mattermost.com?
- Is this the correct address to use for the default push service?
- Is the inconsistent behavior expected when using the default push server?
