Invalid state after login

After one User tries to log in on our Mattermost Server, he has the Error " invalid state"

Steps to reproduce

  • Operating System: Windows 10
  • Mattermost Desktop App version: 5.1.1
  • Mattermost Server version: 7.3.0

Expected behavior

  • Open Mattermost Desktop app
  • log in via GitLab LDAP Authentication
  • Error Invalid State

Observed behavior
Reinstalling Mattermost or deleting AppData\Roaming\Mattermost hasn’t helped.
This Error only occurs on one Device and only on Windows 10

What happens if the user tries to use the browser to connect to the Mattermost instance? Is the error message the same then or is it really only the desktop app that’s causing this issue?

Maybe they can also try two different browsers, just to make sure that not just one browser is the problem (the desktop app is an electron app and might share things with the default browser) and you could also try the private browsing option to see if that has any effect on the outcome.
