Multiple users linked to same desktop app - how to remove one

I have a situation where I have two mattermost accounts linked on the same desktop app, and now, the login always picks user2, while I want to use user1. I created user2 to remind myself how to go through the account creation process to guide other new users.

I am on a MacOS 13.2. I cleared the Safari website data and I cleared the Mattermost cache, quit and restarted. However, the login always auto-redirects to user2. I can not find where the user data is stored. I’ve looked around ~/Library/Containers/Mattermost.Desktop/Data/ but still no luck. I have this issue whether I login from the desktop app, clicking the GitLab login option, or if I am in a browser.

Does anyone know how to resolve such an issue? Ideally, delete any knowledge of user2 and go back to user1.

OK - well - seems that what I did above (clear website data from Safari and remove Mattermost desktop cache) was almost enough. The extra step needed was that I had to quit and relaunch Safari. I guess the lesson is that clearing Safari-cache only cleans cache on disk, but not in memory (my speculation). I seem to have resolved the issue.
