Show a badge counter for channel for normal message

It would be more comfortable to see a badge counter even for normal message, not only mention messages in all type of channels (instead having only the channel’s name in bold). The badge should look different. Here is an example for a badge for counting normal messages (sorry i’m not good in painting):
