Admin Account Locked - Email Not Setup

Summary
We installed mattermost on a digitalocean server through docker almost a year ago. Everything was working great! But I had too many password attempts while logging in and my admin account is now locked

Your account is locked because of too many failed password attempts. Please reset your password.

But I did not setup email on the server. So can not get a password reset link.

I am 99.9% sure I know the password but that account is locked.

Observed behavior
This error:
Your account is locked because of too many failed password attempts. Please reset your password.

Hi @martman0823-2 and welcome to the Mattermost forums!

You can set the EnableLocalMode variable in your config.json to true and then restart your Mattermost service.
After that, you should be able to reset the password using the commandline utility mmctl:

mmctl —local user reset-password
