Hello Hadi,
Thanks for reaching out and showing interest in using Mattermost!
For Mattermost Team Edition (which is free and open source), there’s no hard limit to the number of users you can have. Since you’re planning to host Mattermost server yourself, the actual limit would be dependent on the capabilities of your server infrastructure.
However, for larger deployments, you might want to look into the Mattermost Enterprise Editions which come with additional features, including tools for managing large user bases, advanced compliance and security measures, high redundancy, and enterprise-level support.
Remember, deploying Mattermost to thousands of users requires careful planning in regards to server hardware, maintenance, backups, etc.
We’re here to support you. Feel free to ask if you have more questions!
Best,

Hi,
With the self-hosted free platform, what are the limits with regards to group calls? I want to use BigBlueButton with around 100-200 users at a time. I realize there are hardware limits, but I am specifically asking about feature capability and license permission to have 200 users on a group call with the open source free self-hosted edition?
This will allow me to continue to use Mattermost instead of deploying a different platform.
Thank you!
